Meeting Facilities:
The Anchorage Civic and Convention District is located in the heart of downtown Anchorage, within easy walking distance of 3,000+ modern hotel rooms, diverse cuisine, an 11-block park, world-class history and art museum, wilderness adventures and the best shopping in the city. In September 2008, with the opening of the 200,000-square-foot Dena'ina Civic & Convention Center, Anchorage increased its civic and convention capacity by 300 percent. Combined with existing facilities at the William H. Egan Center, Anchorage now has the space to host multiple mid-sized meetings simultaneously, with a capacity for groups of up to 5,000. The Dena’ina Center features architectural designs that take advantage of unique northern latitudinal light, spectacular views of the Chugach Mountains, as well as the functionality and state-of-the-art technology expected from a premier meeting facility. Artwork displayed throughout the Dena’ina Center uniquely depicts how the building is tied to the land and its people, reminding visitors that although Anchorage is a thriving metropolis, it is also a place of history and culture that dates back thousands of years.
